Robert Hopkins for Celery King Organizations - Philanthropic Organizations Creative Sanford, Inc is a non-profit organization in Sanford dedicated to the development of "Celery Soup", a folk life performance using the stories and history of Sanford and Seminole county. Their mission is :"To fulfill big dreams... by providing unlimited, creative opportunities for instilling pride, stimulating economic elevation and promoting our hometown heritage for future generations." The primary project for Creative Sanford is "Celery Soup". This will be an annual live performance celebrating the history and culture of Sanford and Seminole County. This project is taken from a very successful 16 yr old model from Colquitt,GA called "Swamp Gravy". This group operates completely off of donations and corporate sponsors, one of their biggest fundraisers of the year is The Celery Ball in March (I have tickets & corp. tables to sell), at this event they crown a Celery King and Queen. This is determined by the amount of funds that the candidates are able to raise between Sept. & March. I have the honor of being selected as one of the King candidates this year. So, I am seeking all avenues to help raise funds for this great organization.
I will be holding several events over the next 5 months that I will post on here. I can also accept any monetary donations that will go towards my campaign, all donations are tax deductable. Thanks in advance for your support!
Marlene London has hit the ground running. She has two events in September, a concert at Two Blonds and a Shrimp on Sep. 9 and an exhibit at Gallery on first on the 29th. See her website for her campaign with links to her Facebook page that talks all about her upcoming events.
