Masquerade Celery Ball March 7, 2009


The Masquerade Celery Ball is on and promises to be the event of the year. It will be held this Saturday evening at the Sanford Civic Center. Cocktails will be served at 6:30pm and the program begins at 7:00 pm.

There will be a "Taste of Sanford" as restaurants will be offering a delicious variety of tasty delights. The Chefs preparing the food will be there to greet the guests. There will be a full liquor and wine bar available also.

A Celery King and Queen will be crowned at the event, and there will be dancing to the music of "From Then to Now." There will be indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful lights and an atmosphere which will be remembered long after the event.

The fundraiser which is raising money for the first "Celery Soup Performance" scheduled for 2010 at the Wayne Densch Performing arts center. Members and volunteers have been collecting oral histories of Sanford and Seminole Counties, to be scripted into performances for the first event, which tenatively will be called "Can of Worms."
